Mr. Efthyvoulos Paraskevaides
Mr. Efthyvoulos Parskevaides (Efthy) is the founding chairman and CEO of EP Global Energy. He is a key management member of the Paraskevaides Group, a multi-Billion Dollar Group of companies involved in construction, energy and related sectors, and other businesses. He is a member of the Board and Director of numerous companies within the Paraskevaides Group, and others including ASTY A.E. Hotel & Tourist Company, Owners of the Ledra Marriott Hotel, one of the five De Luxe hotels in Athens, Greece, Eurosure Insurance Company Ltd., Nicosia, Christodoulides Bros Ltd, and PHADISCO Ltd . Mr. Paraskevaides is involved in numerous charitable and non-profit philanthropic organisations, notably the Paraskevaides Surgical & Transplant Centre, the Board of King's College, London, Cyprus Hellenic Foundation, honorary Consul General of the Royal Danish Consulate in Cyprus since 1995, and member of the Cyprus Executive Council of the Harvard School of Public Health (HSPH). Mr. Paraskevaides was appointed Knight of the Order of Dannenbrog, by Her Majesty the Queen of Denmark. He holds a BSc (Hons) degree in Civil Engineering from Kings College, London.
Dr. Tara Lindstedt
Tara is Managing Director of EP Global Energy Ltd. She is a strategy and business delivery specialist with over 20 years of professional experience in Europe, USA, Asia, and the Middle East. Her sector experience includes Energy (renewable and traditional), Environment and Risk related services, Chemicals & Petrochemicals, Oil & Gas, Financial Services, hi-Tech, and commercialisation of intellectual property. She is Founder of e-Strategy Advisors, a strategy and business Advisory Network for ventures and major projects, and appointee Director for Imperial Innovations, the spinout ventures company for Imperial College, London. Other directorships include Ellinas Wind Project Holding (Cyprus), ParOS plc and ionScope Ltd. Formerly a management consultant with Coopers & Lybrand, an Executive Director at Goldman Sachs, and, Director of Strategic Planning at Salomon Brothers (now Citigroup). Tara holds a PhD in Liquefied (LNG, LPG) fuel tank failure modelling and an MSc in Advanced Engineering both from Imperial College, and, BSc (hons) in Chemical Engineering from University College London. Tara divides her time between London, Cyprus, and New York.
Ms. Nasrin Sharifi
Nasrin is a senior Project Director for EP Global Energy Ltd. She has over 15 years of management consulting and major project experience in Europe and USA. Her sector experience includes Pharmaceuticals, Oil & gas, Consumer Products, Financial Services, Biotech & Life Sciences and Hi Tech. Nasrin is a trained executive Coach and an experienced change management specialist, bringing together people and processes in developing and implementing Programs to deliver major projects. Nasrin worked with Accenture as a management consultant until 2003. She founded the Pathfinder Network providing executive coaching and people/organisational improvement, and joined e-Strategy Advisors Network to work on development of ventures and major projects. Nasrin holds a BSc (hons) in Biochemical Engineering from University College London and studied for a PhD at Imperial College London. Nasrin is primarily based in London but spends time in Cyprus and New York.
Mr. Themis Christodoulou
Themis is Business Development Director for EP Global Energy Ltd. He has a long track record in Business Development. Previously he was in the travel and leisure business, operating several cruise ships. In addition to EP Global Energy Ltd, his current appointments include Director of Sales Affairs for the Athens Ledra Marriott hotel in Greece and Business Development Consultant to the J&P Group and to the Arabian Gulf Switchgear company. He is a graduate in Business Administration from the Deree College, part of the American College in Athens. Themis divides his time between Cyprus, Greece, the Middle East, the Gulf, Europe and the Balkans.
Ms. Eve Fierou
Eve is Administration Manager for EP Global Energy Ltd. She brings with her many years of experience dealing with people at all levels across large organisations and in fast-track businesses. Eve divides her time between her position as Consular Officer for Denmark in Cyprus and her role at EP Global Energy Ltd. She is a graduate in Business Administration from Newland Park Business School in The UK. Eve is based in Nicosia, Cyprus.
Mr Christoforos Demetriades
Chris has been working for the Joannou & Paraskevaides Group since 1994 where he has Financial Management responsibilities. Previously, from 1991 to 1994, he worked for Coopers & Lybrand in Nicosia where he headed the Financial and Management Services Group. He joined Coopers & Lybrand in London in 1986 as a trainee Chartered Accountant and he successfully completed his exams and training in 1989. He is a member of The Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales since that year. During his post qualification years with the firm, from 1989 to 1991, he was involved in a number of Merger and Acquisition projects as well as with a privatisation assignment from the position of manager in the Corporate Finance Department. He holds a BSc (Econ) with First Class honours in Industry and Trade from the London School of Economics.
Mr Aggis Ioannides
Aggis has been working for the Joannou & Paraskevaides Group since 1998 as Internal Financial Consultant on numerous projects of the Group in the Gulf, Greece and Cyprus, involved in particular with Corporate Finance, Strategy and M&A issues. From 1996 to 1998, he worked for CISCO, the investment banking arm of the Bank of Cyprus Group, where he was responsible for the Corporate Finance department. Previously he worked as Consultant with KANTOR Management Consultants in Athens, Greece on a number of financial analysis, strategy and company organisation projects, and as a trainee Chartered Accountant with Pannell Kerr Forster in London. He is a member of The Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales since 1995 and he holds a BA (Hons) Degree in Engineering from Cambridge University, UK.
Mr. David Ionel
Ionel David is Country Manager for Romania. He has over 15 years experience in project management and strategy design gained while working with the Romanian Government, NGOs and the private sector. Since 1990 Ionel has been part of the Romanian Prime Minister's think tank, responsible for the relationship with the NGO's and the development of media. He was part of the team designing and implementing the first Audiovisual Law in Romania and establishing the first independent radio in Republic of Moldova. Ionel gained extensive experience in implementing construction projects as he worked as an Expert for the Romanian Ministry of Administration and Internal Affaires in evaluation and monitoring of road modernization and water supply systems in rural areas. Ionel is a graduate of Bucharest University with an MA in Sociology and Philosophy. H eis a Romanian Citizen and resides in Bucharest.
Mr. Vladimir Avrami
Mr. Avrami combines his experience in the government with his vast private sector experience. While working as Advisor for the Ministry of Economy and Privatization he was successful in attracting private sector investment to Albania. He gained unique experience in identifying and negotiating the energy policy and the required legal and policy frameworks during his time as Chief of Cabinet for the Ministry of Energy. Mr. Avrami's experience in the energy sector includes consultancy on study, design and production of electrical energy, both for the traditional and alternative forms of energy productions, such as wind energy. He is a member of the Supervising Board of the National Energy Agency, and author of many articles and contributions published in the local magazines and newspapers and also in USA and Germany. Previous posts include Editor of the National Newspaper "Zeri I Rinise", Advisor to the Ministry of Public Economy and Privatization, and Chief of Staff for the Minister of Industry and Energy. At present, Mr Avrami is CEO of Alb Energy Sh.p.K, the Albanian Subsidiary of EP Global Energy Ltd, and shareholder of TIRHNO, Europa Building and Salus Companies. He is a graduate of the Tirana University in Literature and Languages, and also a diploma in Journalism. Post Graduate training includes Management Courses organized by USIA, (Washington and Minnesota, Sept-Oct 1992), Business course, organized by GTZ (Tirana, Oct-Dec 1998) and USAID Course Public "participation in privatization", (Budapest, Feb1999). Mr Avrami is an Albania National, living in Tirana.
Mr. Vassilis Zoukos
Vassilis is an Engineer with EP Global Energy Ltd. He has served as General Manager for a number of contracting and mechanical/electrical engineering companies, more specifically, "CONSPEL S.A." a specialist electromechanical contractor, "McQUAY HELLAS", a subsidiary of McQUAY International USA in Greece and "ENVIROTEC HELLAS S.A.", a commercial - engineering company, representatives in Greece of YORK International and SATCHWELL. He has extensive experience in setting up companies and managing departments and projects, with emphasis in the Building Management Systems (BMS) sector. From his positions as General Manager, he has also gained valuable commercial experience.
Vassilis is a holder of a Mechanical and Electrical Engineering Degree from the National Technical University of Athens (NTUA) and is a member of a number of Professional Bodies and Engineering Societies in Greece and abroad. Vassilis divides his time between Greece and Cyprus.
Mr Alan Langworthy
Alan founded Powercorp in 1988 and developed IPS technology for the automation and remote control of RAPS systems world-wide. These systems include remote control, high power inverter systems and the integration of renewable power sources (such as wind and hydro). He has been a member of the Electric Energy Industry Export Council representing the renewable energy sector, the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the Export Action Agenda for Renewable Energy, a founding Director of Australian Cooperative Research Centre for Renewable Energy (ACRE) and is currently sitting on the Northern Territory Research and Innovation Board. Over a period of more than 25 years with expansive hands experiences, Alan has gained a wide knowledge base, particularly in the field of off-grid power generation. His knowledge in wind, solar and other renewable technologies, covering both technical and economic aspects, have directed Powercorp to where it is today. He has published works covering technical, educational and commercial areas of the power generation industry.
Mr. Costas Pandehis
Costas is the Managing Director and General Manager of Arabian Gulf Switchgear Ltd. and founder member of the Board of Directors of several Companies of the Paraskevaides Group, including Spectrum Engineering Systems S.A. and Spectrum Networks S.A. in Greece. These Companies' activities range from the design and assembly of Low and Medium Voltage Electrical Switchboards, Motor Control Centres and Systems for Oil & Gas, Power Stations, Sewerage and Desalination Plants to Internet Solutions for Hotels and other sectors of the Commercial and Hospitality Industries as well as photovoltaic and wind energy solutions.
Costas joined the Paraskevaides Group in 1974, initially in Oman and then in The UAE. In 1980 he was promoted to the position of Contracts Manager for the Group's Electromechanical operations in several Countries of the Middle East; works carried out under his management and direct supervision include Airports, Hospitals, Hotels, Stadiums, Electrical works including Substations and Distribution and other infrastructure projects. He has subsequently been entrusted with the management of the Industrial Activities of the Paraskevaides Group, a position he still holds. Costas studied Electrical and Electronic engineering in the UK and is registered with the Engineering Council (U.K.) as IEng. He is also a member of The Institution of Engineering and Technology (U.K.), member of The Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (USA), and a member of The American Society of Mechanical Engineers.
